Who are Coopers Fire?
Coopers Fire has been supplying fire and smoke curtains to the Australian market since 1995. Operating through a distributor from 1995 – 2006 Coopers have supplied fire and smoke curtain solutions to more than 100 projects to all states of Australia.
In late 2006 Coopers Fire decided that the Australian market needed a greater level of support for our niche product range and as such we registered and subsequently started to trade our Australian subsidiary Company.
As a manufacturer supported subsidiary business, Coopers Fire has more control over the delivery of the fire or smoke curtain product solution than a normal distributor. We are able to provide local manufacture support and have the financial backing of our parent to take on large value contracts.
Since 2007 we have progressively increased the amount of local supply, firstly with local metal work manufacture and assembly. This has significantly reduced our delivery time to site from 12 weeks to 4 weeks for most projects. We continue to expand our manufacture and warehousing capacity.

Coopers Fire is the world leaders in Fire Curtain and Smoke Curtain systems and is based in Australia, the United Kingdom and East Asia.
Coopers Fire invented and patented the Gravity Fail Safe (GFS) Smoke and Fire Curtain, which has become the benchmark for most Smoke and Fire Curtain systems sold worldwide today.
Coopers products have been specified and installed in most of the world's landmark buildings including Chek Lap Kok airport - Hong Kong, Swiss Re (The Gherkin) - London, Dubai International Airport and Wembley Stadium - London.
Coopers have been heavily involved in the introduction of British and European Standards, including the very latest BS PAS 121, the only definitive specification for Fire Curtains in the world.
Coopers Fire were the first to bring Smoke and Fire Curtains to the market with micronized aluminium fire resistant coatings, now the industry standard. We were also the first to introduce the 24V dc variable speed drive system, with integral 24V dc brake and regenerative dynamic braking.
Now known worldwide as VarioSpeed, this very latest generation of systems, backed by over 25 years of experience, is the heart of all Coopers Fire products.
